The wonder of giving comes in many forms. At Macy’s, we’ve brought this to life, partnering with Make-A-Wish for our annual Believe campaign for the past 12 years to help make wishes come true across the country for children with critical illnesses. The surprise we delivered to him on Macy’s Wish Wednesday captured the hearts of all who were able to witness his joy.
On Dec. 6, Macy’s celebrated National Believe Day and delivered one of the greatest gifts across the country – the gift of hope. This year was our most successful National Believe Day to date. We exceeded our goal and collected 1,348,107 letters in one day to raise $1 million for Make-A-Wish. That’s in addition to the $1 million we’ve committed for letters collected through December 24. Macy’s fourth Fashion Incubator will take up residence in Macy’s Metro Center in Washington, D.C., with a year-long program beginning in June. As with the fashion incubators housed in Macy’s State Street (Chicago), Union Square (San Francisco) and Center City (Philadelphia), the Metro Center program will provide six locally- based designers-in-residence with a dedicated workspace and support through mentoring and courses focused on helping them build their design business.
