Macy’s Backstage: Off Price. On Trend. Arriving Daily.

Macy’s Backstage is designed to bring great deals and the fun of the hunt into our existing Macy’s locations. We are working hard every day to create an exciting shopping experience, with a compelling assortment, at the best price so our customers can shop here for fun, fashion and value.

“In 2015, we opened six free-standing locations, but we quickly decided to try the store within a store model, which allowed us to build an on-mall, off-price national footprint,” said Michelle Israel, Senior Vice President of Off-price, Macy’s Backstage & Bloomingdale’s Outlet. “We learned that 65 percent of our customers were already shopping off-price, so we thought, ‘how do we bring this business into our buildings and into our malls to grow in our existing stores?’ It's been pretty fast and exciting, and we're learning and evolving every day.”

We’ve since expanded this off-price business to more than 200 Macy’s stores that offer new fashions that arrive daily. From our store colleagues on the front lines with our customers, to our supply chain and corporate teams, many of our colleagues have played a role in growing this important business.
