This year, Macy’s Partners in Time Colleague Giving and Volunteerism Program celebrates 30 years of Making Life Shine Brighter for our customers, colleagues and communities.
At Macy’s, giving back is a core value and a hallmark of how we work. Nothing embodies this more than our Partners in Time Colleague and Volunteerism Program. The program was founded 30 years ago with the idea that giving back is about understanding the role we play in our communities and living up to our commitments. And we still go by that guiding principle today.
Since 1989, our colleagues have given nearly three million hours of community service to thousands of charities across the country. Our charity partners equate that to a value of more than $60 million!

These colleagues went above and beyond by volunteering four times a week within the community, gaining over 500 volunteer hours hosting Bag Hunger events, delivering weekly meals to people in need over the past 10 years and much more.
This year, Macy’s colleagues from around the country honored the victims of 9/11 by giving back to their local communities.
