Since 2003, Macy’s and Make-A-Wish have teamed up to grant the wishes of critically ill children across the nation with our Believe letter-writing campaign.
The wonder of giving comes in many forms. At Macy’s, we’ve brought this to life, partnering with Make-A-Wish for our annual Believe campaign for the past 12 years to help make wishes come true across the country for children with critical illnesses. Meet our wish kid Brantley, whose wish was to go to Colorado to build a snowman and who loves airplanes. The surprise we delivered to him on Macy’s Wish Wednesday captured the hearts of all who were able to witness his joy.
For the third year, our Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Singing Christmas Tree float was comprised of more than 100 talented Macy’s and colleagues from across the nation. Hear from a few of our singers to learn more about their experience and what it means to be part of such an iconic event.
We ring in the holidays every year with inspiring traditions, bringing together communities and families from across America. And this year, we encouraged all of New York City to “Believe in the Wonder” at the unveiling of our new Macy’s Herald Square holiday windows.
The holidays are when Macy’s shines. In addition to all the great activity in our stores, we bring communities together with inspiring traditions that are deeply engrained in American culture, and for many, have been part of families for generations.
The wonder of giving comes in many forms. For the 12th year, Macy’s is partnering with Make-A-Wish for our annual Believe campaign, helping make wishes come true across the country for children with critical illnesses. Each story is different, but the goal is the same. Granting a wish can help these children build the hope and strength they need to fight harder and see the impossible become possible.
Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the nation’s most iconic holiday traditions. Each year, more than 3.5 million spectators attend the Parade in New York City, and over 50 million television viewers tune-in from home nationwide. We also have a large Macy’s team working behind the scenes to get our Parade to 34th St. each year.
This year, we’re celebrating Independence Day in true patriotic style with a larger-than-life fireworks show, live from one of New York City’s most treasured landmarks – the Brooklyn Bridge. And the team behind it has been working tirelessly to make this year’s show bigger and brighter than ever before!
Macy’s Center City store recently hosted the 26th annual Wanamaker Organ Day, proudly celebrating one of Philadelphia’s most cherished treasures with the unveiling of the newly restored grand organ case.
For 73 years, Macy’s has welcomed spring with the annual Flower Show, showcasing millions of live flowers, plants, and trees from around the globe. This year, Journey to Paradisios is cleared for launch – and it’s out of this world! Through Sunday, April 7, the Flower Show transports spectators into a multi-dimensional world of space, adventure and discovery through flora and eccentrically landscaped gardens that celebrate the wonder and mystery of the planet Paradisios.
