Bloomingdale’s entered the Hawaii market with the opening of Ala Moana Center in Honolulu in November. The three-level, 165,000 square-foot store is the centerpiece of the world’s largest open-air shopping mall, with full-line offerings and an extensive roster of brands – several of which are exclusive to Bloomingdale’s Ala Moana.
With sophisticated nods to Hawaiian culture and tradition throughout, shoppers can find a curated assortment of luxury goods and stylish essentials for women, men, children and home. A special treat station features delicious homegrown treasures from Honolulu Cookie Company, Sea Salts of Hawaii, Big Island Bees, and more.
Both residents and visitors (about 70% of customers are expected to be tourists) are discovering an unparalleled retail experience with private cosmetic treatment rooms, private event space and the iconic 40 Carrots restaurant under the direction of renowned local chef, Jon Matsubara. The multilingual Visitors Center on the main floor functions as a retreat and informational hub catering to international and domestic shoppers.
