Exclusive Designer Collection: YYigal for Macy’s

The world knows Yigal Azrouel as the Israeli-American, high-end designer from New York City. This season, we will get to know the famous fashion-maker in a new way. He has created a special, limited-edition collection, YYigal, exclusively for Macy’s.

The prestigious collaboration is a testament to Macy’s stride down the runway of fashion industry leaders and speaks to the company’s commitment to industry credibility. “We’ve been really selective in picking designers,” said Tessa Shevelew, omni buyer for Macy’s ready-to-wear, of Macy’s collaborations. Any designer chosen must represent the fashion credibility of Macy’s. Azrouel’s signature voice in the world of design accomplishes just that.

His innovative clothes authentically articulate the modern feminine. Famous for graceful silhouettes, fluid fabrics and romantic colors, Azrouel’s aesthetic flows perfectly with the Macy’s brand and spring 2017 trends.

The collection combines delicate details with edgy statements. “The YYigal collection for Macy’s was inspired by nature and features beautiful prints, lace details and intricate embroidery,” said Shevelew. “Customers will be delighted by trend-forward pieces including a culotte jumpsuit, capelet dress, easy-to-wear romantic blouses, and some amazing statement jackets.”

What makes YYigal so special isn’t just the elegance of its fashion narrative or architectural flair. Typically offered at upscale boutiques, YYigal at Macy’s offers high-end designer fashion for just a fraction of the cost. The 24 exclusive pieces in the collection range from $69 to $199, supporting Macy’s brand commitment to offering high-value style at an accessible price.

The YYigal collection fittingly launched Feb. 15 at 149 Macy’s stores and on macys.com – in the middle of New York Fashion Week. Macy’s shared early access with 2 million of its most loyal customers through a private preview sale Jan. 30 – Feb. 1. Azrouel made a customer-facing appearance on March 15 at Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square. The YYigal line already has met a lot of publicity, including an NBC News video trend report, a sneak peak with Hollywood Life, and features in “Women’s Wear Daily,” “Vogue” and “Oprah” magazines.
